Last updated: 10 October 2026

Joiin is a brand of Morphic Technology Ltd ("we", "us"). We're committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through the Joiin app and this website, why we collect it, how we look after it and what your rights are.

Who we are

The data controller is Morphic Technology Ltd, 105-107 Easter Road, Edinburgh, Scotland, EH7 5PP. We process personal data under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

This website

This website doesn't use cookies and doesn't track you. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies, so there's no cookie banner.

Like any website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages securely and protect against abuse. We don't use this to identify you.

Founding-club pilot form

If you apply for the founding-club pilot, we collect:

  • your club or school name, type of club, location and typical group size
  • your name and email address
  • your answer about working with no mobile signal, and any notes you add
  • the date and time you applied
Why we use itLawful basis
To review your application, contact you about the pilot and set up your clubLegitimate interests (responding to your enquiry and running the pilot), and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract
To understand demand, for example how many clubs need off-grid workingLegitimate interests (improving Joiin)

We don't use pilot applications for unrelated marketing, and we never sell your data.

Where it's stored: Applications are stored in Cloudflare's database service (Cloudflare D1), and a copy is emailed to our team inbox using FormSubmit, an email-forwarding service. Your browser sends that copy to FormSubmit directly when you submit the form, so FormSubmit also receives your IP address. These providers act as our processors. Some processing may take place outside the UK. Where it does, we rely on the safeguards those providers have in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it: If you take part in the pilot, we keep your details for as long as your club is a Joiin customer and for 2 years afterwards. If you don't go ahead, we delete your application within 12 months of receiving it. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.

  • To tell you about changes to our service
  • To email you about other products and services we think you might like, if you've agreed to this. You can opt out at any time.

We'll only share your data with partner companies for their own marketing if you've given permission, and we'll ask first.

How we store your data

We store app data securely on cloud servers in Europe. We keep your personal details for up to 3 years after you last use the app, and then delete them.
